CUSD Today

A young child holds a newspaper with the headline 'CUSD Today'.

CUSD Today is a good news publication of Clovis Unified covering events and information about the school district and its students. This newspaper-style communication piece is mailed into the homes of our 43,000+ students, employees, retirees and interested community members 11 times over the course of the school year.

In an effort to unify the CUSD community, CUSD Today highlights the achievements of Clovis Unified students and staff; profiles new and updated Governing Board policies; and shares general news and information happening within the District.

Every aspect of producing, printing and mailing CUSD Today is funded by advertising revenue. To show appreciation of their support, we encourage the community to patronize these businesses and services.

To learn about advertising in CUSD Today, please contact CUSD Today Advertising Manager Kellie Feramisco at 559-327-9093.

Please submit all story ideas to the Media Site Coordinator at your school. Contact your school to find out who your Site Coordinator is. We do our best to include as many submissions in each issue as our editorial space will allow.

CUSD Today FAQ

  • The answer is absolutely not; it is entirely paid for by our advertisers, for whose support we are very grateful. Not one cent from Clovis Unified’s General Fund is used to cover any cost associated with CUSD Today, which includes paying for the design, printing, labeling, mailing, freelance writing and photography, and the salaries of the two CUSD staff members who produce the newspaper each month.

  • Your written articles and article ideas are always welcomed. A system has been put in place in which each school principal designates a special “CUSD Today Site Coordinator.”

This person is responsible for sending information about newsworthy events happening at his/her school site to the Communications Office for publication in the paper. There is simply not enough room in the paper to print everything that happens during the course of the year, but every effort is made to cover all schools.

If you have information to submit for publication in CUSD Today, contact your school’s Site Coordinator who will want to hear from you the good news you want to share with our readers.

In submitting a story idea, we ask that you provide as much information as you can as well as some contact information and, when possible, a photo.

  • CUSD Today is published monthly from August through June of each school year. You can expect to receive your issue approximately during the second week of each month.
