Your paystub is a record of the wages you received and the taxes/deductions you paid during a particular pay period. Your paystub shows your "Gross Pay" (Earnings before any deductions), and your "Net Pay" (Amount that will be deposited into your bank account). It shows exactly how much money was subtracted from your paycheck to pay for Taxes, Statutory Benefits, Health and Welfare Benefits and any Voluntary deductions.
