Direct Contracting

Direct Contracting for Imaging Services

Clovis Unified School District is contracted directly with RadNet & CMI Radiology Group to provide our benefitted employees, their covered dependents, and retirees with a discount on imaging services.

While there is no change to the Plan’s existing list of in-network imaging providers, participating Radnet & CMI Radiology Group locations allow members to receive imaging services at no cost while offering discounted savings directly to the Health Plan.

A list of RadNet and CMI Radiology Group locations in Fresno and Clovis, California, with addresses and contact information.

    • All benefitted employees receive a Direct Contracting ID card via mail
    • When using Direct Contract imaging providers, benefitted employees & their dependents will have their copays, deductibles, and pre-authorizations waived on the services received
    • In order to receive the Direct Contract benefits, members must present their Direct Contracting ID card in lieu of the Blue Shield ID Card
      • Failure to present the Direct Contract ID Card will result in the member(s) receiving the benefit of a waived copay, deductible, and waived pre-authorization and will be billed as if they visited a non-Direct Contract location
    • Digital Direct Contracting ID Cards are also available through the myHNAS online portal or mobile application; see flyer under CUSD Benefit Plans Resources for additional instructions
    • Yes – all existing Tandem PPO network providers are still available to utilize, but members will only receive the waived copay, deductibles, and waived pre-authorization benefit when utilizing a Direct Contracted provider
    • If a member has dual coverage & CUSD does not serve as the primary insurance (e.g., Medicare or a dual-covered spouse with employer serving as primary), the member should continue to use primary coverage & present the Direct Contracting ID Card to be used as secondary coverage for imaging services
      • Providing the Direct Contracting ID card still provides members with the best overall cost savings to the Health Plan
