  • A large format printer with a roll of paper printing colorful posters.

    The Banner/Poster Maker makes clear, colorful, and legible small posters, large posters, and banners at an inexpensive price. Large print jobs (5+ posters) are recommended to utilize the Print Shop.  

     

    Preparation:

    Please save your design as a PNG on a USB with our template for the most size-accurate designs and quickest printing. Posters and banners can be printed directly from our laptop nearest the Silhouette machines.

  • An electric binding machine with a foot pedal and a lever.

    Create professional booklets with plastic spiral comb binding! Two GBC Binding Machines are available that punch 19 holes in a sheet of paper to accommodate the plastic binding. Eight sheets of paper may be punched at a time. If the book being created has laminated papers, please cut them as straight and as close to the original paper as possible to avoid crooked bindings.

  • A button-making machine with a clear plastic cover.

    Create 2.25” diameter buttons with a metal pin backing! Two Badge-A-Matic II Machines are available. Buttons can be made with bond paper, gift wrap, or other very thin paper. Do not use glossy photo paper. A circle maker is available to cut paper for the button maker. Paper circles have a 7cm diameter (roughly 2.76”). It is recommended to have a 0.25” blank margin around the inner perimeter of the circle so the image is not folded behind the button (See our templates below for examples).

  • A gray AccuCut MARK3 die-cutting machine with a green leaf-shaped die.An AccuCut GrandeMark 2 die cut machine.

    Six Accucut Mark 3 and two Accucut GrandeMark 2 machines are available. By using these machines, letters, numbers, and shapes can be cut uniformly and quickly. The Teacher Center has over 1000 shapes and letters and is still adding more! Dies may be used to cut paper, pop-up sponge material, cardboard, fabric, foil, foam, wallpaper, contact paper, or felt. Dies are great for making math manipulatives, bulletin boards, bookmarks, posters, banners, games, or flash cards. If pre-cutting the paper is desired, cut the construction paper into 4.5” x 5” squares. Four thicknesses of paper may be cut at one time. When cutting one-sided paper, place the pretty side of the paper face down. Tip: Laminate paper before cutting to save time and energy! Dies come in four sizes:

    • Borders 12” x 5”
    • Special size 10” x 12”
    • Large 9.5” x 15”
    • Normal 6” x 5”

       * Some die cuts come in smaller sizes such as “small” and “tiny.”  Acrylic die cuts are also available to cut out photos, as they are clear.

  • A white manual paper drilling machine with a lever and adjustable guides.

    One Uchida VS-55 drill machine is available. The drill press can be used for cutting hole punches into large books. It drills holes through a 2” stack of paper, one hole at a time.

  • A white electric paper punch machine.

    One electric Swingline Hole Puncher is available as well as handheld hole punchers.

  • A Brother P-Touch label maker with a blue and gray design.A black Brother P-touch label maker with a color screen and a QWERTY keyboard.

    Two Brother Label Makers are used for making labels for folders, name tags, and books.

  • A red and gray laminating machine with a digital control panel and a 27" roller.A large industrial laminating machine with two 42" rollers and a control panel.

    The Teacher Center has four 27"-wide Laminex laminators, and one 40"-wide laminator with 3ml lamination. Please call the Teacher Center 20 minutes before using the 40”-wide laminator. The 27” laminators always hot and ready for when you arrive!

    Lamination preserves and protects newspaper articles, posters, bulletin-board items, folders, booklets, banners, or other flat items. Remember to laminate BEFORE die-cutting. Items that cannot be laminated are: metal clasps, foam board, cardboard, glitter, sequins, sand glued on paper, 3-D material types, and popsicle sticks. When gluing materials onto each other, glue sticks are recommended.

    • 40" lamination – $1.25 per foot

  • Two laptops are connected to a colored and black and white printer.  When printing hard copies for the poster machine, our laptops must be used. Our laptops are equipped with Windows 11. Due to the change, it is no longer possible to log into CUSD email. Please do not change the Windows login either, as Technology says it poses a security risk. Please bring in a physical copy or USB to print with. (We supply USBs, just ask!)

  • A manual paper corner rounder.

    One Lassco Corner Cutter is available to round out the edges of papers.

  • A white paper cutter with a metal base and a lever for cutting.

    There is one Ideal Ream Cutter available. The ream cutter is for cutting textbooks or large amounts of paper at once—perfect for separating worksheets from binding or creating half-sheets!

  • A white Silhouette Cameo 4 Pro cutting machine with a teal vinyl roll loaded.

    There are two Silhouette Cameo 4 Pros available. Any copyright-free image can be used to create a silhouette outline—similar to a die cut. The Silhouette can be loaded with bond paper, index paper, construction paper, or vinyl. Bring an image on a USB as a .png or .jpeg file to start making custom die cuts!

  • A black heavy-duty stapler with a built-in ruler.A vintage gray metal stapler with a lever and a handle.A black heavy-duty stapler with a red lever.A white, compact automatic stapler with a green light.A white electric stapler with a clear plastic top.

    Manual regular and heavy duty staplers are available for stapling large stacks of paper at once. Three Xerox electric staplers are also available.

  • A white and gray multifunction printer with a large scanner bed and a touchscreen display.

    The Super Zoomer machine enlarges any black and white 8.5" x 11" paper to 18" x 24".  Posters are produced with black ink on colored index paper, white index paper, or white bond paper.  The Super Zoomer is truly a teacher’s best friend!

    The Super Zoomer also features a wide format method available only on white bond paper.  No color ink available--only black and white enlargements. Great for sports brackets!

  • A white and blue multifunction printer with a touchscreen display and paper trays.

    The Teacher Center is equipped with two black and white copiers. Both Xerox copiers have the capability of duplicating, grouping, collating and stapling. The copiers will copy 8.5" x 11", 8.5" x 14", and 11" x 17" originals.

  • A multifunction printer with a large touchscreen display and paper trays.

    The Teacher Center is equipped with two color copiers. Both Xerox copiers have the capability of duplicating, grouping, collating and stapling. The copiers will copy 8.5" x 11" and 11" x 17" originals.

  • Butcher paper is available in a variety of colors.  The butcher paper is displayed on butcher paper racks. (Note:  Butcher paper is fireproof; it is not fadeless.)
