Facilities of the Clovis Unified School District (District) are available for use by external, non-District groups or organizations in accordance with the District’s board policies and administrative regulations. District facilities include buildings, fields, and ground spaces. 

Please know that during school instruction time, our outdoor school facilities — playgrounds, fields, tracks and paths — will be closed to the general public for the safety of our students and staff. Stadiums are closed to the public when school is in session and when District staff are not present. Our tennis courts are not open for use during school hours.  Per Board Policy, external groups are not allowed on site between the hours of 7am-6pm weekdays when CUSD students are on sites.

WINTER RESTING:  CUSD has currently CLOSED ALL FIELDS FOR EXTERNAL USE from December 14, 2024 through Sunday, February 2, 2025. The Spring Season of Sport meeting is scheduled on January 8, 2025. Please contact the Facilities Department at 559.327.9261 for further information.

No vehicles, including golf carts of external groups or organizations, are allowed on our sites except in designated parking lots. External groups or organizations are NOT allowed to bring onto our sites any portable lights, inflatables, climbing walls, BBQs including smokers, and water events.  Sound systems must not disrupt the neighborhood or other events on site. Music must be appropriate for children - no explicit lyrics.

District does not allow animals on our sites.  If you are looking for an on-leash or off-leash dog park, please visit Todd Beamer Dog Park or Woodward Dog Park.

District does not allow external groups and organizations to hang signs, including banners, on District sites except during a group’s approved scheduled event time.  External groups’ events are not posted on District websites, calendars, or PeachJar.

Field Conditions for CUSD

CUSD will observe Winter Resting from December 14, 2024 through February 2, 2025.

 All CUSD fields will be closed for external use from Saturday, December 14, 2024 through Sunday, February 2, 2025.

USING CUSD FACILITIES

The District makes its facilities available for public use under guidelines established by Board Policy. If you are interested in using a District facility, please click on the following link to our facility usage software login page.

Please note the following:

If the requested facility is available and the use thereof does not interfere with the regular conduct of school or school work at the site, the school will approve the request and forward it to the office of the Assistant Superintendent of Facility Services. Other than requests for use of District facilities that are subject to approval by the District’s Board, the Assistant Superintendent of Facility Services or designee will determine whether to approve the request and notify the requesting party of the determination.

District approval requires the submission of written proof of insurance as required by the Agreement for Use of Facilities, including written proof that lists Clovis Unified School District and its Governing Board and members thereof, officers, employees, and agents as additional insureds.

The appropriate charges will be invoiced to your group after the event is held.  The invoices will be emailed to the email you have used to generate an account with our facility usage software.

Requests by external groups and organizations for use of District facilities will be processed in accordance with the applicable process:

  • Use of District Facilities Under the Civic Center Act: Requests for facilities under the Civic Center Act are processed pursuant to Board Policy, Administrative Regulation and Exhibit No. 1330. An applicant that is approved to use District facilities must comply with the Facilities Use Agreement - Civic Center Act*. An applicant shall use the requested District facility only during the period stated in the applicant’s request and approved by the District, which period shall be within the following:
  1. Weekends and/or when school is not in session, starting no earlier than 7:00 a.m. and ending no later than 9:00 p.m. for indoor facilities and 10:00 p.m. for outdoor field spaces.
  2. Weekdays when school is in session (including intersession), starting no earlier than 6:00 p.m. and ending no later than 9:00 p.m. for indoor facilities and 10:00 p.m. for outdoor field spaces.
  • Use of District Facilities for Polling Places, Vote Centers, or Emergency Shelters. District facilities may be used for:

(1) mass care and welfare shelters during disasters or other emergencies affecting the public health and welfare pursuant to Education Code section 32282; or

(2) polling places or vote centers pursuant to Elections Code section 12283. The use of District facilities for these purposes shall be upon such terms and conditions as agreed to by the District and each group or organization requesting such use. The process and requirements for requests and use of District facilities for these purposes are set forth in Board Policy and Administrative Regulation No. 1330, and the Agreement for Use of Facilities - Polling Places, Vote Centers, Emergency Shelters*

  • Use of District Facilities for Athletics and Sports Events, Programs, or Activities. The process and requirements for requesting District facilities for athletics and sports events, programs, or activities are set forth in Board Policy and Administrative Regulation No. 6145.1. An applicant that is approved to use District facilities must comply with the Agreement for Use of Facilities - Community Recreation Programs.* and Behavior Expectations of Individuals or Groups Using CUSD Athletic Facilities. An applicant shall use the requested District facilities only during the period stated in the applicant’s request and approved by the District, which period shall be within the following:
  1. Weekends and/or when school is not in session, starting no earlier than 7:00 a.m. and ending no later than 9:00 p.m. for indoor facilities and 10:00 p.m. for outdoor field spaces.
  2. Weekdays when school is in session (including intersession), starting no earlier than the ending time for school as set forth in Administrative Regulation No. 6112 – School Day and ending no later than 9:00 p.m. for indoor facilities and 10:00 p.m. for outdoor field spaces.
