Peer Counseling
Peer Counseling programs are implemented at all of our comprehensive high schools and intermediate schools.  It is an effective tool for providing prevention, intervention, and referral services to individuals experiencing difficulties. 

• Effectively trained Peer Counselors can positively influence the attitudes and behaviors of their peers.

When I was in Peer Counseling, I went through training for suicide awareness. I helped a student who was at the lowest point in their life, they turned it around and found joy. I still keep in contact with that person and they are doing well, this was almost 30 years ago. This has made a huge impact on my life that each one of us can make a difference for the good of others.
